Chicho and Mariana Montes were so cute while dancing milonguero style... at Salón Canning, Buenos Aires, March 9th 2007. I have never seen Chicho dance like this before. Very nice!

  • Milongueros don't need to look at their feet when they dance. That ability allows them to see where they're going, and prevents them from getting lost in the middle -against the ronda!- like this couple does.

I think you mean 'close embrace', not milonguero.

  • nice, but what if they don't want to be filmed - its not a show. I'm not saying one way or the other - some people are permanent exhibitionists, but maybe they also like to chill at milongas without cameras pointing at them.

  • Yeah! And they invented Tango Nuevo, so who cares if they suck at this milonguera style.

They dance to be free, not to be told how to stand!

Pleeeze leave Chicho alone! Pleeeeeeezz! Leave him alone!

  • What this video really shows (from it´s core) is not so much about petit technicallities, rather is about two masters rendering themselves to the chains of space & numbers, in a sublime embrace just like us, ordinary human beings

  • Untropezon, fully agree with you. They dance in close embrace and in a crowded place, but it is not a milonguero style. However, milonguero is a debated issue and not always easy to define but I don't feel that would be milonguero. The title is misleading and reflects somehow a misunderstanding of the tango concept.
