Turkey: An Islamist State

Andy McCarthy, author of The Grand Jihad, says Turkey has become an Islamist state. He describes how Ataturk engineered Turkey to be a secular Islamic state. And he describes how the promise of EU membership and the democratic process have allowed the Islamists to takeover Turkey. Andy also says that the US-Turkey alliance is coming to an end.

This whole thing is a pathetic propaganda, now do you people want to invade Turkey which is already in NATO as well? there is no Islamic revolution coming in Turkey. The 1300 year of Khilafah has been abolished by the allied forces never to be revived and Muslim world is fast taking up unIslamic values in their life style, religious muslims are only fighting each other tooth and nail with no unity and thus Their future in secular world is -> DOOMED. I'm pretty sure that Erdogan is not more islamist in Turkey than GW Bush was "christianist" in USA. This is a fine conspiracy theory, but there's nothing close to an islamic revolution or such happening in Turkey. I have friends in Turkey and they're taking their lifes as they always did.
