I heard both the versions for the first time , Both are great , for the movies I will take Noor Jehan 's style of singing , it doen not mean in any way that Zhora Bai was less in any way. Both greats are no more in the field of singing but will remain in our hearts for ever and for ever. IMTIAZ FARUQUI. FROM USA.
@sgtalageri With respect I do not agree with your contention that this songs was initially recorded both in Noor Jehan and Zohra Bai voices. First Village Girl was produced and released in 1945 and as Mirza Sahib narrated Zohra Bai version was recorded in 1946. Secondly Noor Jehan was heroine of Village Girl and she did not use play back of others and sing herself in her films.
This song is from the film "Village Girl", with music by Sham Sunder. The song was recorded in the voices of both Noorjahan and Zohrabai, but Noorjahan's version was finally taken in the film.
Delicate sentiments beautifully expressed; music that truly touches one's soul. Many thanks Mr Mirza for providing this!

This song of Johrabai is more famously in Nurjehan's voice. Thrilled to listen both the voices. Thanks.
