African greys are such smart birds, I dated a guy once who had one, and in less than a week the bird imitated my laugh perfectly. it was spooky! Bibi rocks!

Hahaha, my grey imitates the cat too. Instead of "meow" his starts with a W, so it's "weow", lol.

Interesting, very interesting. The world renowned Dr.Pepperberg of Brandeis
University has trained Alex the african grey parrot to give commands at a very early age and by the time he was an adult he even commanded students in the lab to give him anything he wanted. It would be a good idea if you saw in you tube videos the way her bird communicated his mind to people and identify the world around him just like a toddler!

Your bird is very intelligent. You guys must spend a lot of time with her. I have a cag as well. She is 5 month old this may. I was wondering if you have any advice on how i can get her to talk?
thanks

We spend about 15 hours a day with Bibi out of her cage. When she talks, we repeat back what she's trying to say, if we can figure it out. She likes to listen to other birds on YouTube (Sylvia, Tongo, Paka, MJ, & Echo are her faves). Bibi is most talkative first thing in the morning, at noon, and at dusk, especially if the TV is on. Just be patient with your bird and express happiness whenever she does try to talk. Yours is still very young. She'll start talking when she's ready.
