Southport High School Marching Band 2008

Southport High School performs "Bhurana," which is Sanskrit (the oldest written language) for "Civilization." The show is separated into three movements: "Proventus, Baba Yetu, and Al Nadda." This performance was held at State Fair Band Day on August 6th, 2008.

Hey guys.Sandskrit was a aryan language brought to india.Sumerias written language was Cuneiform.Sandskrit is old but not as old as cuneiform

What is a "surviving" language? If it's a language spoken as a native language, Sanskrit is dead, like Latin. Nobody speaks it from birth. If it's a language of which records survive, than Sumerian still takes the cake.
