  • That's no fun!

  • @hondarider100r It is not a twin stick. It has a straight 5 speed.

  • It is not a straight 5 speed, it is a twin stick. 5 speed main (long shifter) and 4 speed brownie box (short shifter right next to drivers seat)

  • i have a 1983 Winnebago Chieftain 30ft. It has a 502 BBC Holley 6pack, LG Pro Headers and twin glasspack exhaust. It originally had a 454 and i swapped it out for the 502.

  • (continued from my previous post)

Clarkson: It was just over a mile from the hitching point to the Alpine course,

but that was enough to give us a taste of what it's like to be a real lorry-driver.

For starters, there's the sheer number of gears.

First, into first and a half.

    May: Second.

    Hammond: Two and a half....

    Hammond: Get in!

    May: Get in!

Clarkson: And when you finally reach 18th gear, you get carved up and you have to start all over again.

  • When one of the men in the video says "If you can't find it [the right gear], grind it," it reminds me of a British Top Gear episode ("Top Gear: Truck Driving challenge part 1: Rig Stig & the power slide - Top") when its hosts - James May, Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson - try to find the right gears to shift up to. Here's a bit of a commentary (continued in my next post):

  • @IDIDieselJohn ive driven a twin stick road tractor. first time was on road lol. i learned quickly. too bad those arent in service anymore. loved em. damn confusing in urban stop and gos but still fun Eh?

  • Ahah love the David comment.

    DAVIDSFARM ROCKS!!
