I know what you mean. The Irish feel lies in the melody and tune of the music though. It's subtle, but it's definitely there.

I'll be doing this song as a Winter Concert with all my singing teacher's students and some of my friends and family. I'm really looking forward to singing it. It's such a beautiful song and has so many different meanings to different people

my choir is singing this for a contest in like 5 days.
I don't see, and maybe it's because I'm an American, but I don't catch anything in the lyrics that indicate it being particularly Irish, I think it is universal, like love.

Wow! Now THAT is an Irish blessing! The music and the singing were the best of Irish melody and harmony. After listening, I am ready to go take on the day!
