This is a live performance of the classic gospel song "Give The World A Smile" from the Hall of Fame Series (double album) featuring Southern Gospel's legendary J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet. Personnel include Rick Strickland (tenor), Ed Enoch (lead), Ed Hill (baritone), J.D. Sumner (bass) and Jerry Kelso (piano). J.D. earned a place as the lowest bass in the Guiness Book of World Records and this recording shows why. Enjoy.

  • You are Missed badly J.D. my friend

  • This live recording is the same one that is on the "Live from Murray State University" 1975. Tenor:Bill Baize, Lead: Ed Enoch, Baritone: Ed Hill, Bass:JD Sumner, Piano:Ronnie Mabe. I have the recording-double album set. Purchased it the day of the event before it was released. I was there for the concerts-two of them-and was there for the three weeks at the Stamps-Blackwood-Speers School of Music which is now run every summer by Charles Novell-who was also an instructor there in 1975.

  • I love this song.

  • @lostscot96 Hey, I was there too! Was a blast! You have to also credit Donnie Sumner with whipping the choir into shape. He did a great job. The School was one of the best times I've had in my life.

  • What can you say but "awesome"
