As the United States increasingly creeps toward socialism - might the various states be better off less united?

  • Whatever, Slownoman. Keep your cursing and insults to yourself. If you love to serve the government in DC that tortures people, bombs villages on the other side of the world and steals money from all of us that is your choice. I do not. And that is my choice. I regard it as an abomination. If you hate the South, fine. I do not care. I don't hate you or anyone else. But I do dispise the Feds' rule over me and my family.

  • If America breaks up Cooperation's will dominate the world. Bottom line, cooperation's already rule more than you expect.

We need to stay together and power through the tough times. The more divided we are the more they can conquer us.

  • Funny that a guy so fervently writing about "balkanization" through illegal immigration and "multiculturalism" cannot see how truly balkanized America would become if secession from the Union was legal and tolerated.

  • 3:43 Again, America as a nation was NOT born out secession. And its Founding Heroes were not "die hard secessionists". In fact, the Founding Fathers never talked or wrote about secession at all. You are a liar.

  • 1:25 The US was NOT born out of secession. Secession is the theory of states unilaterally leaving a federal union. The American people as a whole revolted against the British government and overthrew it. And the American people as a whole, not the States, together created the United States of America, as expressed in the Constitution.

  • Frankly I wouldn't mind seeing the empire break up. We would all get a government more in line with our values in each region and we could drop the burden of being the world's policeman and fighting everybody else's battles for them. As a Southerner I would immediately advocate we reform the Southern states in a loose confederation as the Founders intended but keep some of the limitations on government found in the Confederate Constitution.

  • Nullification should be tried before resorting to extreme measure of secession. If we nullified unconstitutional laws we could protect our liberties while staying together as a nation.

  • @southernavenger Socialism OR Secession, we need both :/

  • the federal goverment is the third reich of the 21 century

USA land of tyrannys brainwash and raiders

    death to the US goverment

  • We wouldn't even have to be think about secession if the federal government respected the constitutional rights of the states and the people, in particular those protected by Amendments IX and X.

  • @mongoose704 We are slaves that are lead with a very long chain. We are given the illusion of freedom but we have only privileges. The Government can tighten our chain at any time just like a really good parent that is very liberal they have the power at any time to become stricter. With the Government's accrument of millions of nuclear weapons one can become very depressed thinking about it.

  • @USAGymnast True if you love America then you support it by default.
