Here's a rather lengthy (13 minutes!) session of sound tweaking on the Analogue Solutions semi-modular synthesizer, the Telemark. A variety of sound types are featured in order to demonstrate the flexibility of the synth.

An AS Oberkorn 16-step sequencer was used to control and modify various attributes of each sound (filters, pwm, vco) via the patching shown in each sound type.

Contextual beats were included to give a sense of sound application as well as to demonstrate the Telemark in a musical bed.

Enjoy.

  • Quite a large range of timbres that you bring out with only subtle tweaks of the knobs. One can notice that you do not (need to?) change input/output routings. Do you ever feel that the Telemark in this respect is not modular enough?

  • @jpiekkala Hi. Indeed you can get a wide range of sounds from the TM without the need of patch cables. Since the synth is semi-modular, this is the general idea. The patch panel then extends the sound palette and allows you to interface w/ your other modular gear. Best of both worlds!

  • great vid, do you release music I can check out?

  • @SaltyJK I'll PM you... thanks!

  • The Oberkorn really pushes the Telemark into new territory. Such a great pair.

  • @Renzothedestroyer Awesome pair indeed!

  • @mutantmoments i found doepfer oscs always lacked some low end... if i were you, id buy two of the analogue solutions 6hp vcos, they are FAT

  • great sounding and tweeking.

pd: I miss sinewaves on these and 85% from synths produced lately....

  • Hi, is it possible to make the same kind of sequenced modifications on the Telemark filters/pwm/vco from Ableton Live via Midi or do you need an analogue sequencer (or Midi-Cv -converter) to do it? Nice sounds.

  • Sounds absolutely fantastic!!!!!

  • I think I might sell my A100 to buy this, not as flexible, but it just sounds so much more analogue.....

  • what are the multiples patch points for?

  • I love my Doepfer A100, but it doesnt sound as fat as this.....
