@CATSAREGREAT5 I've learned almost everything on my own. The information available on internet is more than enough to learn everything and anything when about technique. But a lot of information is wrong so never watch or read only one or two lessons on something. also if you know someone who's good at guitar you can ask him specifics. if you want to be a MASTER though, you need to learn theory too, which you can find on internet. starting from the major scale and constructing chords.

@carletoznguitar How did you learn the guitar? Lessons, or on your own? Is there any good sites or beginner exercises/songs I should start to work on? Thanks :) I'm not a complete beginner I guess- I played a bit of acoustic guitar in school last year, and I've taught myself basic chords, and some simple tabs. Thanks again!
i dont get the harmonics thing... how do u do that?

@XOXON1kk1 Well yeah, maybe it isn't very clear. All u have to do is touch the string with your finger right on the place where the fret is (metallic part) without pressing it; pick normally. For artificial harmonics (pinched) you have to press the string on any fret and pick grabbing it so that your thumb will slightly touch the string on one point, without muting it (nice and quick). You have to find the points that work best cause you can't just do it anywhere. you'll need practice.

noob question here, but what does EQ mean?
vidkid12300 9 months ago
EQ is the abbreviation of "Equalization", which is turning up and down the volume level (gain) of different frequencies in your amp. Guitar amps usually have three or two EQ controls: Treble, Mid and Bass (or Low). Some amps also have more complex EQ controllers like with Mid-lows or Bass boosters and stuff. As you change those levels, the tone of your guitar changes as well. To see what they sound like, turn the others all the way down and listen to your guitar with only treble, for example.
