Looking at the date, I would hope you have this solved by now...
I have this board and it needs triple channel memory, so I have to buy ram in matching 3s... I noticed you only have 2 sticks inserted, you need to have at least one set of three filled for the ram slots. So like at least 3 black ram slots filled with matching pairs... and then optionally the 3 blue slots filled with another set of 3 matching pairs

lolol i had the same problem with i flashed the bios to V.1403 , so i flashed back to version 1301 and...i have the best pc on the world...lol cheers brother

Did you find a solution to your problem? I built a similar setup with the same board and ram. Ive got an i7 950 and an invidia quadro 4000 and im having the same issue. The only difference is that mine doesnt turn off it just keeps going. All the lights and fans are on but my mem-ok light thing is also lit red. I don't hear any beeps from my warning speaker like i apparently should. My first build as well.

@lambomtb13 I RMA'd the board my problem was a few pins we're bent and the CPU wasn't making full contactI guess. I didnt even noticed it and I'm not sure if I got the board like that (unlikely) or this is something I may have caused. Once I got a new board everything came online with no issues.
