Good job, what is your ballast? If you allow more current (no ballast) and crank your break rate (700-1300 BPS) you should be able to push about 8 feet with that kind of power!

I have a 6kVA variac for the mots. The BPS I use is around 1000. I know it's capable more sparklenght, but I need a new secondary with better insulated wire, because if I increase the coupling, the wire arcs over.

That is one beautiful machine. Was it very difficult to build? It looks professional. And how do you build a RSG? I've heard that Nikola Tesla was a believer. Is this true?

The total price for the parts were around 500$. And + the variac box with a 6kVA and 1kVA variac which I got free.
The whole building took me a half year.
