Chicago - Interview (1994)

Esta entrevista se transmitió por TV en los Estados Unidos hace 14 años. Después de hablar acerca de los inicios del grupo y de cómo han ido cambiando las cosas a través de los años, le preguntan a James Pankow acerca del siguiente album, Chicago XXII, que pronto saldría a la venta. El opinó que se trataba del mejor trabajo que habían hecho en los últimos 20 años; algo mucho mejor de lo que se esperaba. Que era el album que ya necesitaban hacer, y que la gente diría que Chicago estaba de regreso. Pero ya conocemos la historia: la disquera se negó a publicarlo, el disco se guardó y sólo unos cuantos fans han tenido acceso a él.

Finalmente, el grupo toma la decisión de lanzar el album y "Stone Of Sisyphus" (Chicago XXXII), estará ya disponible a partir del 17 de junio (Rhino Records). Hay mucha expectativa. La gente dirá la última palabra.

No he didn't get fired.

He left the group because he did not want to commit to the touring schedule.

However Jason Scheff and Bill Champlin wanted him out because they think he didn't do well at concerts.

Chicago was NEVER the same after Peter Cetera left the band in 1985, basically he was the voice and face of the band. No one can replace Peter Cetera.

wasn´t "chicago 22" in fact the album called "stone of sisyphus", which was aborted by the record company, because it was too daring and didn´t have that david foster-powerballad-sound?
