My wife and I have been married since 1986. We travelled extensively, built a business together and really got the chance to develop our relationship. After 12 years of marriage, we decided to start a family. We had our first son, John. He has been a blessing, a true gift from God. John was born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Thanks to modern medicine and the grace of God, John turns 10 on October first.
We wanted a sibling for John. God put it in our hearts to adopt a child. We decided to go the route of Russian adoption. It was an intimidating, lengthy and very expensive process but 'Oh so worth it'. Once again God blessed us when he helped us find Kyle Dimitri in an orphanage in Ulyonovsk, Russia. We brought him home to Florida on August 1st 2002. He was 3 years old. When we left the orphanage, our hearts cried for all those children who stayed behind. To this day, I feel deep pain for suffering children in this world.

  • God bless you and your wife. Your little boys are beautiful. My husband and I love children and always hoped for a big family; we have three biological children. However, I have Type 1 diabetes and all three pregnancies nearly killed me so for our fourth child, we will focus on our shared dream of adoption. I am praying that someday, my family will be able to make the trip yours made.
