The Juno spacecraft is on schedule to be launched August 5 from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida for its mission to Jupiter. Juno is meant to improve our understanding of our solar system's beginnings by revealing data about the gas giant's evolution. Also, Gale's a "go" for MSL; STS-135 crew honors flight controllers; Garver at Ames; Job fair; and, aero students report. Plus, Stennis hosts 134 crew and a return of the legends.

  • Juno shall hopefully open up so much more delights of the Jovian system. Can't wait! The American government needs to put MORE money into NASA, we've lost too many fantastic projects already. Curiosity will also be awesome (:

  • @DavidOD11850 There is an HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) and it has nothing to do with weather, it is used to study ionosphere, the most upper part of Earth's atmosphere. It is useful because ionosphere is too high for airplanes or balloons, and too low for satellites. So the answer is: NO.

  • I agree. Our Government is doing right by Funding NASA. We need to Launch more Space Shuttles out there to learn more about our Solar System and the Universe. Funding for NASA however need to be documented. Technology and Photos need to reach the people as soon as possible.

  • Just saw Transformers 3 movie ...... Nasa rocks

  • Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I'd like to see the presentation the sts-134 astronauts gave.

They look like they've put on a bit of weight since returning home, especially Mike Fincke! LoL!

    Thanks.

  • Is there actually a weather controlling thing in Alaska called haarp? Plz reply

  • So Juno's budget is on track, but what about the James Webb Space Telescope? I've heard that the congress wants to kill it.

"Well, the United States House of Representatives has done some dumb things in its time, but yesterday it may have equaled its best. The House Appropriations Committee proposed killing the James Webb Space Telescope, the centerpiece of NASA’s plans for exploring the universe over the coming decade".
