Is it Haram to celebrate Birthdays?هل يجوز الاحتفال بعيد الميلاد

I posted this Video, Because there is a lot of Muslims in the US and all over the world, who celebrates Birthday's with out knowing that they imitating the kuffar.

this is so annoying!!! apparently to be a "good" muslim.....you must never have an ounce of fun in your entire life. Lets make smiling and laughing haram too!! Pray, read the Quran and nothing else (no harry potter it will make u a kafir) eat, sleep, work go to school, get married young have babies that's it that's how our lives are supposed to be...no joy nothing...boring plain vanilla lives.

This video is nothing but a reminder/advice, no one said having fun is haram, never the less the whole point of the video is to show the origin of "birthdays"

@Quran871 you don't even know me to make assumptions like that...I'm a girl so no i don't want to do those things you are accusing me of thanx. Islam used to be in my heart but all I see is the negative right now...maybe one day I will feel the faith again but for now nope especially not when self righteous assholes like you assume that just because someone doesn't want to be religious they are promiscuous. @Amalia87Nathair boring? where did birthdays come from? smiling is a sunnah and laughing is totally ok. you can you hiking, fishing, basketball, shopping, running, soccer, picnic. the propblem is not islam the problem is YOU! you want to drink, go clubing, have sex with girls you dont know for FUN. islam forbidds evil and encourages good. you wanna follow that you will have a fun life. but i can tell that faith hasnt entered your heart at all. islam is the way. this aint the only life. Having a birthday with family and praying together to celebrate the EID of the day they were born is in no way haram. You have the wrong mean of Tafseer to your GOD_KNOWS_WHAT hadeeths and sayings!!
