my dad and i have to sing this in church. im kinda worried. the songs not that hard but the dinamics are kinda of difficult.

this woman is beautiful and graceful in looks and heart. my dream wife

Barbara Streisand doesn't sound at all like she did in her twenties. She still has some of the same tone but her voice is far more restricted, her vibrato's lost consistence and she won't even attempt to belt the D's and E's that she was infamous for. She's still a wonderful and well-preserved talent but it happens to the best of them.

I think your very right about the cigarettes having been what damaged her voice the most not cocaine and marijuana. There's no doubt she abused drugs but chances are it was the years of cigarette smoking which is often overlooked because of her drug usage.

I'm a former smoker, I really don't believe she's still smoking. I think her voice is just very fragile now. She sounds awesome one day and can hardly speak the next. It has to be treated with care, one wrong note its blown for a performance.

I really hope she isn't b/c even with a lower tone, if she can work her throat period, she'll be that beast we knew and still love.

Word is that Dionne recently stopped smoking, but her voice[for me] is thru for da most part.

In da "O" interview, she sounded alot like Dee & dat scared me. Even when she spoke if U noticed, her breathing was weird.

She did sound awfully hoarse On O and afterward on GMA. But did you hear her just days later on her Oprah performance? It was stellar and her talking voice completely normal.

Thats what scares me the most. X-Factor Britain her voice wasn't there. X-Factor Italy she was belting notes she'd rarely attempted since Preachers Wife. It makes me scared will AMA and Dancing with the Stars. I feel like its a tossup these days and I'm praying it lands heads up for those two performances
