  • @FireCannon27 Is discriminating against people by sexual orientation, gender, or race wrong, yes but I do believe religious orginizations have the right to do it without fear of reprisal, as long as they don't do it in the public sphere.

    I am scared of fascism coming to my country and I do believe that if it comes it will come carrying the cross and wrapped in the Stars and Stripes. But if you are discriminated in one church or religious orginization, you can always go to another or a secular1

  • Watch out with 'religion has immunity from law'. Here in Holland, there was recently trouble with religious schools getting government funding while selecting their teachers on their religion and sexuality (read: if they were christian and weren't gay). They weren't prosecuted, and that could result in a slippery slope. What if someone says that he wants only whites teaching because of his religion? If someone would do that in Holland today, he'd get off and receive public money to do it.
