We are a growing small family beekeeping business, located in Starke, Florida. This year we will continue with live bee removals, sign pollination agreements with our local farmers, and will have 100% pure Florida Honey for sale.
July 8, 2010 I spent a day with a commercial beekeeper, to learn how to better graft larvae, for rearing better queens. I learned how this experienced commercial beekeeper grafts and harvests queen cells, and I got some hands on experience grafting larvae. I learned how to prime artificial queen cups with the appropriate ratio of water and royal jelly. I learned that priming the artificial queen cups with Royal jelly also aids in transferring the larvae from the grafting tool to the queen cup..
This video is combination of all the short videos I took. Enjoy the video and Happy Beekeeping!
