richard dawkins and neil tyson degrasse are both very funny, well spoken and intelligent, but their personalities and styles are way different. degrasse is a very entertaining story-teller, which helps convey understanding to people while dawkins is a straight-foward brilliant logical and concise speaker, which helps give people understanding about science as well.
I agree though "science is interesting and if you don't agree then you can fuck off" we'll be taking those cell phones too

We know that humans have been mulling around for at least 200,000 years which means that the God who would have to be 11.7 billion universe years old wasn't all that affected by all of the terrible things that went on during the first 198,000 years. It was only 2000 years ago that God was finally moved to send a son to earth. Does that sound logical?

An educator's role is not to force understanding, as Tyson says, but to present the facts and go no further. If the student chooses not to accept the truth, so be it, it is not up to the educator to force the idiots to not be idiots. In any classroom setting, it is the role of the students to learn from the material presented, and even go beyond it, not the role of the educator to hold their hand and make sure they learn everything right.
If you choose not to learn, tough shit.

I love what DeGrasse said. And what Dawkins said at the end of this made me roll off the chair in laughter!
