AlfredoMusic.com -- Alfredo Rodríguez performing in the Elephant Room in Austin, Texas during the 2009 SXSW Music Festival from Thursday night (the 19th). In this video, Alfredo finishes his set, and is asked by the crowd for one more song ("otra!"). On the spot, Alfredo improvises an encore, which inspires Quincy Jones to take the stage and say, "There's really nothing to say... you've heard it all. I've got to tell you though... this, my brother, makes me even happier than I already am to be alive. This is what music is about." For more on Alfredo, visit www.alfredomusic.com

  • Mr. Quincy Jones, You have found yourself a prodigy! I watched Alfredo mesmerize the audience at this years Playboy Jazz Festival and there aren't many young jazz pianists like Alfredo around. His natural playing ability is like no other of todays generation. We can only hope that he will get even better and may one day be held in the same regard as the late greats like Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson and Monk!

  • It is obvious that Alfredo doesn't interpret music, he IS music. Astounding! It would be interesting to hear and see Alfredo and Keith Jarrett together...
