The new '09 6spd Avalon Tourings are very fast. I rented one past wknd in FL. Pulls very hard all the way to 130mph. Too much power for front wheels. Toyota nailed it w/ the tranny/engine combo on this. I don't know how such a large car accelerates soo fast. It truly is a high 5 sec. to 60mph car.

Pretty damn fast for a Mommy's car. This thing will eat most BMW 3, 5 and 7 series for lunch and will outrun the Acura's prized TL (S-type). This will also give the Cadillac CTS and the a few new Audi's a slap in the face.

I know someone who crashed a porsche at 180 and walked from it, and someone else who flipped a 98 Mustang Cobra ON THE HIGHWAY and walked away. One example doesn't set a precedent for all cars of that make. You are just lucky, not suck on that.

@disbsam333 i was t-boned by a sedona traveling at 45 mph and i was not injured at all and it hitt my side of the car, plus the frame work on the car is so advanced that they were able to repair it when other cars wouldve been totaled, and also i was told by the officer he doesnt know how i walkd away from tht, my car is now repaired and drives like the day it was hitt, now suck on that

@Amandalover921 ive gotten as low as 6.58 on mine at a strip in my 1997, just put in a short ram cold air intake and it will sound awesome and you will notice a little more power!

USDM cars fail. they break too easily. besides...this is TOYOTA. spacy, roomy, comfy cars. especially an avalon like this. this is wider than a camry. do you see where im coming from?
