Distilling spirits

the very first in another series of videos on how distillation works. I start out with a video from a collegue of mine (my laywer, He lives in New Zealand ;) who was gracious enough to demonstrate outright. Later videos will actually concentrate on how the process works. was first performed by the chinese as early as 800 B.C and was also used in mesopatamia in 2 millenia B.C. for use in perfume making. It was also produced by Arab chemists in the 8th & 9th centuries, where we get the majority of texts & observation on the distillation of alcohol, the term itself is a term originating in Arabic
