The Fishgator Fishing Knot is tied in a way that prevents the line from cutting across itself, making it a superb knot for use with light monofilament or fluorocarbon line. It is a very strong and compact knot that also is less likely to catch on vegetation.

  • @MiDoRin0Oni64 The Fishgator knot is similar, but not the same as the World Fair Knot. In the Fishgator Knot, the tag end of the line is finished differently so that it lays in the opposite direction, and with a smaller profile compared with the World Fair Knot. I was not aware of the World Fair Knot, so thanks for pointing it out to me!

  • isnt this called the "worlds Fair" knot?... @_@
