**BILAL'S GUIDE TO XBOX 360 FLASHING**

Due to ENORMOUS DEMAND in the comments section, here's what flashing is all about:

When people flash their 360s(or have them flashed), they do so in order to play copied games. Almost all consoles that have ever been released have been hacked in some way or other, and the 360 is no exception. The main difference here is that flashing ONLY lets you play copies, and that's it. You can't play imports, you can't play homebrew, you can't do any of the stuff that you're normally able to when you mod your console, just play copied games, you thieving pirating bastards!

However, Microsoft's clever method to curb piracy is to ban modified consoles from accessing their XBox Live service. Once a console is banned, it cannot be undone (some people have managed through angry calls to MS). They figure out if you're playing copies by testing the disc using a 'jitter test'. I'm too bored to Google that but I think the idea is a burnt disc will be read slower than an official disc for whatever reason, and that's how they figure it out.

If you were hoping for an actual guide to flashing, tough shit :)

For those wondering wtf is going on here, this film is what I thought of when I heard about Microsoft rolling out their 360 XBL bans, working through the backlogs, such that someone will say 'yeah well I'M not banned lolol!' but they actually already were banned, and two minutes later the ban kicks in.

Or two weeks later, even.

So while telling a mate it was fruitless and that he's (probably) already banned, i had a FOTN-based revelation.

Et voila.

p.s. for the 'haterz', I'm not taking any sort of moral high ground over the matter at all. All my consoles (apart from my 360) are modded in some way or other. I'm just making joke videos about people getting banned, so take your lame comments elsewhere, bitches.
