  • Why did Jean-Pierre show them distructive tools..?

  • extremely interesting...I've noticed that when they eat the rice, they hit their head with their right arm, maybe their sign of like? I also guess that the two men with the piece of wood on their nose are the chiefs of the tribe.. @kcoo 4115, maybe i would have acted like jean pierre when introducing myself, but i wouldn't have had the matches and the knife,i cannot understand why he had shown them to them

  • The re-enactment of "First Contact" is a common drama re-enacted all across PNG. It is often dramatized at celebrations, sometimes for tourists, or at cultural shows. This video does not represent an unknown tribe meeting the white man for the first time . . . it is a common part of PNG recent history and a common facet of modern PNG culture.

  • This video is a fake, fraud. Pierre Lemonnier, was one of the anthropologists reporting the video as fake.

En su momento este video fue denunciado por otros académicos franceces. La tribu que se muestra en el video es en realidad otra que ya había sido estudiada por otro estudioso francés años antes.

  • When they keep rubbing his skin, it's because they're trying to see if he has something on his skin that is making him that color, they're trying to wipe off the color. Imagine if you've never seen someone who is a different color than you!

  • @ruthestherpark yes.. I would've brought a soccer ball!

  • 1:27 stare into your soul...

  • Wait, why did Jean-Pierre crash their party? Well, I guess it was going to happen at some point, at least he was non intrusive. What a wild experience for all, even the viewer.

  • For real though, that Shell Chain the tribesman is using like a bag strap is nice...I want one

  • @kcoo4115 If these men only knew in advance the different forms danger can look like. There is always a motive . . .
