well vidcritic27 the beach is still there thats true but they haven't trained there since the end of WWII,although they do hold mock drills there on memorial day i think
The Navy SEALs were commissioned in 1962 by Kennedy. It would be impossible for your 80 year old father in law to have joined the Navy and gone through SEAL training (BUD/s) at the age of only 17. Being that 1962-17 is 1945... and that would only make him out to be age 64. Now he might have been a member of UDT (Underwater Demolition Teams). UDT was the "father" of SEAL teams, but being a member of UDT did not make you a SEAL. The SEALs came to be in 1962 and they came from UDT.
3:00 My dad in law has a brick there. He was a seal at 17 years old. He lied to them about his age so he could serve. He's alive, still works at 80 something years old and is sharp as a tack. He will not talk about the wars he has served in. To painful.
Heh, I'm doing an Eagle Project at their new monument that's going up to honor all the KIA UDT\SEALs from WWII and up.

Really? That's odd, I saw some people training there last weekend. Could have been the Navy reserve though.
