Ruben Blades - Buscando Guayaba (bass & solo)

Although Eddie Rivera and Sal Cuevas are both credited on the classic Siembra album, I'm pretty sure this is Sal Cuevas playin' on this track.

I just love this tune, it's such a "feel good" one... plus the "solo de boca" is really incredible !

A lil silly thing, when I watched the video back, I realized I rubbed my right eye cause I had dust in it, but as I did it just before the solo, it looks like I'm taking a pick from my glasses LOL But it's just the index finger nail I'm usin to get that picking sound.

I tried some Sal Cuevas vibe on the chorus but if you don't know him already you really owe it to yourself to check him out... the greatest "modern" electric latin bass player in my opinion.

i can suggest to you to practice with a click,your timing it's not good and salsa music is very sensitive when it comes to timing,you forgot a few essential notes,the solo could be warmly well played with your thumb using the palm-mute technique....my opinion.

@SlikkTim In my opinion it sounds without swing...you can produce and arranged but to play salsa bass is different (sorry for my english I speak spanish)
