Everyday seems to be a first time for everything... Today was the 1st time I took a nap and forgot to redo my hair.......Please excuse my bedhead. :\

Today also entailed a constant battle against my old mentality. My mother-in-law cooked shrimp alfredo and banana pudding. As you know by now, it's not tasting the food that piques my interest, but just themere smell of it grabs my attention.

So here is my confession: Being a sugar addict, I just couldn't take the banana pudding scent anymore and I indulged in a teaspoon of a taste. I chewed it and I hate to be disgusting, but then I "expelled" it from my mouth. To my surprise, it tasted WAY too sweet.Actually, left a weird after taste in my mouth.

Alexis has stated that when you eat something that does not agree with your palettes to brush your teeth immediately. This was a challenge for me today.

My success today was wearing my tee that I purchased for next year!

Tomorrow I'm going to discuss the mental routine that Kristina told me to practice to beat my sugar addiction. It works for me! Hopefully it will work for you too.

p.s. Someone also asked me to breakdown the items in my meals. This would make the video too long, so I am posting it here. Although I consumed 2003 cals with 41% of my cals being from fat, this is no where close to how I used to consume 2000 cals with 40% fat a few weeks ago. Here you go:

Breakdown is Carbs/Protein/Fat

Breakfast: 9am
Banana - 140 cals 36/2/1
Orange - 86 cals = 22/2/0
2 Carrots - 59 cals = 14/1/0
2 tbsp almond butter=203 cals = 7/5/19
1 whole pineapple = 231 cals = 58/2/2
TOTAL=719 cals = 136/11/22

** Notice how pineapple and almond butter are almost identical in cals, bur difference in fat. WOW!

LUNCH: Noon:
2 Avocados: 578 cals = 30/7/53
5 Cherry Tomotoes=25 cals = 6/0/0
TOTAL: 723 Cals = 93/9/55

Snack: 2pm
2 cups Grapes = 120 cals = 57/2/2

DINNER:
4 pm Salad:
1 apple = 125 cals = 32/0/1
2 cups Watercress=7 cals = 1/1/0
1 stalk of celery = 5 cals = 1/1/0
Dressing:
1 avocado=289 cals = 15/3/27
4 clementines: 140 cals = 36/4/0
TOTAL" 561 Cals = 84/9/24

TOTAL for day: 2003 Cals = 313/29/105
Ratio % for Day = 54/5/41 (Way too much fat!!!)

  • Great that you spit out the junk! Love avocados, but they are rather fatty. I try to eat a quarter by mixing in a fuit dressing. I get the fat but not too much.
