Enya - From Where I Am (cover)

From Enya's Grammy winning album "The Memory Of Trees".

It was a brand new piano and some key actions were not finely tuned yet. The water and bird sounds were unintentional but it did add a cool new age feel to the recording :P

Debby, I have been playing electronic for 15 yeras and only recently got this piano for my daughter. Nothing beats the sound of a real acoustic and the amount of control you can have on the keys and pedals. Wish I have space for a grand.

Its good to hear a piece of music played without electronic enhancement. O.K. the incidental backing was there but as you say it added to the mood.

Haha love the added bird and water sounds. This is one of the best covers of this piece I have seen on youtube - expressively played with lots of feeling. I'm probably nitpicking here but occasionally the melody is not smooth enough eg (1:35-40); and the bass sometimes get little too loud, some 'rubato' in the middle section (1:05-30) would add a nice touch too. Great job nonetheless!
