@BrooklynNotQueens : he doesn't seem to have a religious point, though, does he? There is a difference between believeing the red sea parted and believeing a child has the potential for learning how to read, for example.

eu sei como isto pode ser assutador para um leigo, mas eu estudei com este homem e sei do que ele está falando, apesar da idade dele, é um avatar do século 21. E, é judeu, coisa que pode parecer racista, mas quem conhece o Dr. Feuerstein sabe que isto não é posto. Eu admiro e sei o quando esta teoria mudou a minha vida e, onde eu trabalho não é permitido usá-la Well, maybe a day they will permit us use this theory to modificay ours teenage infrator...

why can't he just say neuroplasticity vs this long winded rant? and this "belief system" is scary. so cult programming can be made efficacious on a hardware level.....so what are relgious skools gonna..make kids believe in the Exodus myth even tho it ain' t so? i
Dr. Feuerstein's theories that bahvior modifies the hardward of our brain, as well as the brain determining behavior, are proved today with modern technological instruments.
It's wonderful, too, that the so called critical learning period is not necessarily critical at all, and that learning disabilities can be transcended at any age with individualized mediation, or as Dr. Feuerstein calls it, "mediated learning experience."
