  • Oh this is a treasure. So great to hear Horowitz play the no.1.(we constantly only hear no.'s 11 &12) Too bad he didn't record the entire set.

  • scryabin - agreed. with his coloristic resources, i wish he'd recorded far more of scriabin's pieces. imagine the worlds he could have unfolded for us? for another live horowitz rarity, search on this in my channel: horowitz in rochester nov. 1980 08 scriabin etude d-flat maj op8 no10

  • 4785689 - ya, that's all the information i have. got it from my first v.h. pirate cassette tape sent to me by the discographer in the plaskin biography - robert m. - in 1986. : )

  • This etude remembers me on Chopin etude in f major op.10 no. 8.

  • good association - i would not have thought of it, but there is that same sparkling playfulness.
