The director saw piranha 3d and thought "but I want to make a movie with teens because its so original and also with sharks because its never been done" and also it's the worst shark movie created. So bad when I saw it I through the DVD outside pissed on it, then a bit of lighter fluid and set it alight now to somehow get the movie out of my head?

people do realize that this isn't how sharks work right? They're incredibly lazy hunters, always waiting for something that's wounded or diseased to start thrashing about. the sound of the boat may get their attention, but they wouldn't put in the effort to pursue it.
