  • Very impressive results!

Thank you very much for sharing!

    Any recommendations about

    a) mask - telescope aperture ratio?

    b) off-axis angle?

    Best regards from Berlin, Germany,

    Götz

  • @igotmail2 mask becomes useful with big newtonian telescopes, 8 inches or more. Off-axis should be the closer to the center/axis the better.

  • What's a "mask"?

  • @ParaglidingManiac In this case, it is an off axis aperture mask, that stops down the aperture of the telescope, avoiding turbulence effects at high resolution imaging.

  • Very nice detail.. Must be awesome to have a 16".. the biggest I've used is 10

  • @mrtapoche1 A mask is a diaphragm for the telescope to contain the negative effects of the seeing.

  • Nice jop !

  • nice..
