Elizabeth Edwards' oldest daughter is remembering her mother for both the witty advice she gave about clothing and dating, and also the grace and comfort she gave their family. (Dec. 11)

Elizabeth Edwards was not a very remarkable woman. Her only claim to fame was that her husband cheated on her. She was hardly worthy of the press her death received.
Too bad that Elizabeth had to endure all she did this past year...I'm referring to knowing about the baby, mistress, and all. I'm sure that didn't help her immune system battle the cancer. This mistress is nothing but a Camilla that will eventually marry her prince. I hope they both pay for the pain they put everyone through with their selfish behavior. I feel for the child as well. Imagine growing up knowing your parents are such selfish monsters?
It is to be marveled that politicians can train themselves to absolutely and successfully ignore the reality that real people can see quite clearly; "If I do THIS, I'll be o.k.; if I do THAT, I'll invite horrible consequences onto myself and my family far into the unknown future...well, shoot, I guess I'll do THAT, because nothing really means anything anyway." I guess that's why politicians refer to US as "the people"--because they know THEY'RE NOT PEOPLE. And it hurts them inside.
I think that the intense emotional pain for being betrayed in such a low way by John Edwards, and the moral suffering KNOWING her small children would be in the hands of their father and his whore as a stepmother, accelerated the death of Elizabeth. The emotional pain was bigger than her terrible physical pain.
That suffering she endured at the hands of her husband is unforgivable.
I wish her soul found rest, peace at last. It's good to know she and her son are now together.

Turns out she was unable to grasp reality re andrew young, etc.; in truth, none of these statements rings true.
