I was here in June 2000. It was 37 degrees F. and snow was lightly falling. I thought we were insane for putting on our bathing suits and going outside. Then we got in the water...Oh. my. God. People of Planet Earth: You gotta go. This is the definition of paradise.

it's a remarkable place, but you have to watch for the german tour buses ... cuz they all pee in the lagoon, it's a cultural thing. i think it's uber-nasty, ick! ick! ick!

I mountain biked several times to the Blue Lagoon, and I enjoyed it very much, although it was about 15 miles each way on the road.
