All my life, I've admired the rustic, old "peek-in" exhibits in Ghost Town at Knott's Berry Farm... so much that I recently attempted to create one in my yard! This is set in a weathered and run-down, wooden playhouse left over from my childhood -- a perfect scene for an old miner, down on his luck, counting his last remaining gold coins. Most of the props are authentic antiques; and my grandfather's rusted, old tools found a new home in here. (Oh, and don't make fun of the highly-sophisticated animation in the karate-chopping arm!)

That's awesome, man! I've always thought you guys who build theme-park-inspired rides in your backyards are some of the coolest theme park fans in the world, but recreating a Knott's peek-in is really commendable.
Your narration sounds so much like the actual peek-in narrations that until I read your comment that it was your voice, I assumed you had recorded it from an actual peek-in.
Thank you, too, for your videos documenting the peek-in renovations -- I'm really glad they preserved them!!
I'm really looking forward to putting my "peek-in" to effective use this Halloween. I plan on setting up a two-way speaker system (like at Sad Eye Joe's jail at Knott's) to talk to the trick-or-treaters. I'll have a table set up with the perfect candy for a prospector, chocolate-covered gold coins!
I did, thanks! (That's my voice on the narration, too.) I'm continuously adding to it as I find more antiques and old tools in storage. I've always wanted to bring a little bit of Ghost Town home with me, so it's neat to have. Thanks for looking!
