Platee is about an ugly marsh nymph, Platee, that thinks anything coming near her pond is madly in love with her. jupiter is living with a jealous wife whom he tries to win back by staging a wedding to platee.

The story isn't very coherent, this is a musicians opera or Comedie Lyrique, that would appeal the greatest to musicians and actors.
