While leading Congress in the Pledge of Allegiance, Minnesota Congresswoman Betty McCollum (D, MN04) appears to intentionally omit the words "Under God" from the Pledge.

UPDATE - for all the people making the argument for separation of Church and State, you are missing the point. McCollum is CATHOLIC and she is omitting GOD.

Hurry up and lynch her! We can't have someone in public office that doesn't believe in magic and unicorns!

Us excluding God out of this country is a major reason that this country is worse off now than it was 20 years ago. I really don't care if you don't like that I am speaking of God. God is the reason our country was so great in the 18 and early and mid 1900s. But we have excluded God so long and the longer we do, the more despair this country will fall into. The Bible states that "Ye have not for ye ask not" and we do not ask for guidance. I have said what I want to say, so I am done here.

Exactly appropriate. It's called the separation of church and state.....or rather separation of superstition and state.

There will come a time when the answer to all these questions will be given. I propose that you can't find God for the same reason a thief can't find a policeman. You win the argument. Good fortune in all to you and yours. Thank you.
