Some Rounds at St. Bartholomew's Grimley, Grimley being a charming village on the Worcester to Kidderminster Road.
I believe the Tenor is the 2nd oldest dated bell in the county. It was cast in 1482 at Worcester Foundry.

These a bit tough due to big wheels, slow turningness, long-waisted back bells, etc. I had rung here thrice before and I'm sure they used to sound very different (and better!)

    Fair-play for spotting that, I'll adjust it...

  • Do you mean the Tenor is the oldest dated bell in the COUNTY?!?! There are plenty of older bells than 1482, some dated, some not!!
