Goldfish??

We went fishing at Tsaile Lake and this guy surfaced. Everyone says it's a Carp, but I swear it's a GOLD FISH! My theory: Someone let their fish into the lake and we got him. I THINK! It looks too much like a Gold Fish to be a "Carp". Am I crazy? Or IS this a Gold Fish, set free?? We eventually let him back into the lake though.

its definately a goldfish...cuz i caught one last summer wit a fly pole....ive seen many swim near the boat too. But its too bad fish and wildlife is gonna drain that lake in august.

Goldfish are a subspecies of carp. So carp would be correct. Goldfish are actually domesticated crucian carp. They are typically grey or green in the wild. I wouldn't expect an orange one to be wild. Could be a goldfish.
