  • soviet version maybe older but it is much better

  • I think they should use a russian face and actor of great character and beauty...russian story...russian actor...

  • "Why there is english gay actor?"

I see no reason that gay actors cannot give just as good a performance as straight ones. Whether an actor is straight or gay does not bother me the least, so long as the performance is a good one.

    Do gays scare you?

  • ... interesting video

  • Well Russia seems to care a great deal about Ukraine when it comes to the NATO issue. Ukraine being puppet to westerners and losing their culture and soul selling it to the devil. Hmmm I thought Ukraine did that already when they submitted to the Muscovite tsar in 1654 not realizing the future consequences of their error. As for Ukraine being forcibly annexed to the USSR well that historical hell is clear. What about Russia poorly imitating the west ala Peter I and Stalin and their methods?

  • Nobody honestly cares about Ukraine there traitors and scum if they wish be puppet to westerners so be it but they lost there culture and soul selling it to the devil.

  • Thanks for putting this on, anything to do with Sholokhov is worth seeing. This wonderful story defies any modern fiction with its huge sweep and heartbreaking emotion; the book shamefully out of print in UK, what the hell's going on?

  • At 1:14 the n ame should read F. Murray Abraham

  • I remember watching the Soviet version. It was very long. "Tykhiy Don". I recalled a lot of Ukrainian actors in that film.
