  • Thanks for sharing that comment, Phil is overseas right now, and learning the Sitar!

    One thing I want to clarify, although Phil states that he studied for 6 years, it was bass for 3 years, and then guitar for next 3 years. He was an active student of Jimmy's for 6 years total. He has a guitar solo on here too.

    Also, his tone was much better in the studio than was captured here. We had been doing sessions all day, and were mentally burnt out, so we forgot to re-adjust the levels,.. it happens.

  • RHCP are one of my favorite bands, especially their earlier albums, and Flea's pretty decent but this kid's probably better than Flea.
