  • You know what, haters? She's not a gymnast, she's not hyperextended, and she's not Zakharova, but she's damn beautiful.

  • Believe it or not, my son, Robert, who dances as Principal with Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo and Jillian were youngesters crafting their bodies to do the demands of Classical Ballet on a larger scale when they would dance in the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, S.C. in its dance festival, hosted by Robert Ivey.. Jillian's mother made her costumes, she was short, but knew she would become a great dancer. The music seems to be so slower than the Trock's music.

  • @choustonlv Believe it or not, they’re a lot better in this video than they used to be. The scruffly, scraggly ABT corps de ballet used to be the joke of the ballet world. Compared to days of old, they look pretty cleaned up here. If you want to see a corps de ballet dancing in truly impressive unison, collective expressivity, and with powerful theatrical presence, look no farther than the Maryinsky/Kirov in the white acts of San Lake. THEY are a wonder to behold.

  • This is the most hyperkinetic Odette I’ve ever seen. Technically a beautiful dancer but, too much going on. Nothing some serious and wise coaching couldn’t fix.

  • @he3rtbrok3n If she did not have a proper diet she would not be able to dance this, or any other ballet! The work-rate in ballet keeps weight unnaturally low without loss of incredible strength, which is what this ballet needs - the lead is on her toes for so much of the entire ballet that all prima ballerinas can get through up to FOUR pairs of pointe shoes per performance. Ballerinas have to as strong as an ox while looking like effortless, delicate creatures.
