yeah dude it does send mixed signals about promoting consumerism for this or that. plus the punishment is kinda fun...better off Paul churn his own butter or wash his Obama gear with a wash board for a week...:)

That's a good question. I thought of that while I was at the park. My answer would be that it doesn't count because I'm not buying an item, I'm buying an experience. However, it's a moot point because I'm friends with an employee and she got me in for free. ;)

I'm just saying, it takes some serious art to come up with the stuff you were wearing on your head. I'm sure you're right about the vendors. But man. The blink, the Obama face. Art. asd;fkjsad;lfkjasd;lfkjsda.
But no, I totally agree this is punishworthy.

Thanks Melissa. I also agree that the stuff I bought was pretty dope. But these street vendors weren't selling stuff that they had made. It became pretty clear that there were a few sources of all the clothing and stuff, and they were just employing vendors for the weekend. And I feel pretty confident that those sources were probably ripping off a number of different artists by massively reproducing designs they had no hand in creating. So yeah, I probably deserve some punishment.
