@Dunkleosteus9 Don't know who wrote it but it was about The Clancy Brothers

@Dunkleosteus9 Yes, this was Nick, Bob, and John (Stewart) on their second album on the Decca label. Thanks for stopping by!

Was this a Stewart song?

It's fun to hear them sing about their friends, one of the Clancy Bros, lol. They all ran in the same circles. I was raised on this music, my dad being a huge fan. This version of the Trio, was always my favorite, Nick Shane, Bob Reynolds and John Stewart. I really miss those guys, this kind of music. Thanks for this great sounding recording post.

As best as I can recall, The Trio was pleased with Capitol record and Capitol was happy with them. Decca wanted to be a big-time player, so they threw a lot of money the Trio's way. Adio, boys!

The first album for Decca: Nick, Bob & John got me into the trio. I worked back from there. I always loved the first album and this one too (Stay Awhile). Thanks for posting.
