HISTORIC VINCENNES, INDIANA, is the focus as Dennis Daily shares another of his more than 200 "American Montage" broadcasts from his days with the old UPI Radio Network. In this episode, Dennis takes us to the often-overlooked but very historic city of Vincennes, Indiana.

  • AND I had NO idea how historic The Gimble Corner was....WOW. =[

  • As of Tonight (12/17/2011)...Downtown Vincennes nolonger looks like this. =[ It will be missing The Old Gimble building at Main and 2nd and the buildings that were attatched to it. Losing such historic buildings makes me sick to my stomach. =[

  • Niles Michigan had a fort established on the St Joseph river by the french in 1691 sent by the french from Quebec. I f you look it up Google Fort St Joseph they were here long before Vincennes.
