Here is a snippet of the flute trio at what I believe too be Camp Stryker, Baghdad, Iraq in 2004 (A lot of the camp chow halls and performance areas look alike in Iraq). We nicknamed the group "Weapons of Mass Destruction" but I don't think they liked that much. I like this video because it shows the more classical and small ensemble nature of some of the Army Band missions.

  • Awsome, I am in the 33rd USAREUR Band and Chorus. This is great!

  • My friend is the Commander for the Chorus. We went to Basic together and SOM actually.

  • When did you go to SOM?

  • Back in '00.

  • I like the irony of the peaceful flute next to the M16's

  • Gorgeous playing! Great job, you guys!

But the juxtaposition is really creeping me out, here.

  • Great flute playing under battle field conditions. M16's with clips in them next to their flute cases. Extra effort to keep the flutes clean too. Great job.
