Carole Lombard: The Profane Angel

A tribute for Carole Lombard (1908-1942).

Born Alice Jane Peters in Indiana she came to Hollywood in the 1920s as a movie extra. In the 1930s she became a popular leading lady in the comedic department and won the hearts of millions. In her life she was married to William Powell and Clark Gable.

Intrestingly enough she only made two films with her ex Will and one film with hubby Clark ten years before her tragic death in a plane crash on the way back from a War Bond Rally. Off screen she was very much an "Auntie Mame" type living for the day and every moment that came with it. She is also remembered for her unladylike language which earned her the title of the Profane Angel.
